Facts about Peppermint Tea:
Peppermint has always been a popular ingredient in skin care because peppermint oil contains menthol, and menthol is good for the skin. If you’ve ever tasted, smelled, or touched menthol you know about its cooling effect.
However, did you know that it provides nourishment to dull skin and improves oily skin?
This is why I created the toner with peppermint tea for blemish prone and oily skin.
But did you know that peppermint has other great benefits such as soothing irritated, itchy and dry skin. It has also been used to fight acne, dermatitis and ringworm.
If you’ve ever spent too much time at the beach or working in the yard, you’ll know what I mean. Peppermint essential oil is often the choice to relieve the symptoms of sunburn in addition to including it with a moisturizing lotion or cream.
How does peppermint and menthol work?
The pores on the epidermis of your skin close and tighten as a result of the menthol. Now, add in the astringent properties of peppermint and you’ve got a great facial cleanser.
The toner I make with peppermint will help to naturally clear up blemish prone and oily skin and leave your face feeling fresh and renewed.
