Here’s some useful tips on “How To Look Younger”.

HBS Skin News Look YoungerWe all know the importance of applying daily sun screen each day. The sun’s damaging UV rays are proven to cause oxidation resulting in wrinkles, age-spots, uneven skin tone and several forms of skin cancer. Did you know that skin damage can start after just ONE minute of sun exposure? Below are a few eye-opening sun facts that you need to know.

*The sun is responsible for 75% of wrinkles on our faces, chest and hands.

*The sun’s UVB rays penetrate the epidermis (outer layer of skin) causing sunburns and tans. They speed skin aging and cause squamous cell carcinoma. When caught early, this type of skin cancer is treatable.

*The sun’s UVA rays penetrate deep down into the dermis (the second layer of skin), where collagen is formed or breaks down. These rays cause skin aging, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, dark spots and more serious cellular damage that can result in both basal cell carcinoma and melanoma cancers. Melanoma, the more serious of the two, can rapidly spread throughout skin tissue and can be deadly if not treated early.

*Tanning beds are NOT a safer way to tan and should be avoided. UCLA Dermatology research reveals that those who use tanning beds are at higher risk for developing skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma (the most common type of skin cancer). In addition, tanning beds may be linked to macular degeneration!

New regulations for sunscreen are as follows. Whether you apply a daily 15, 30 or 50 SPF sunscreen, you must re-apply it every 2 hours when spending time outdoors. I have tried over 3 dozen “healthy” sun screen brands on the market. But what I discovered is that each one I tried, either looked too dry or too white on my skin. Or they were too thick or greasy feeling and expensive! AND they looked even worse with makeup on top. Many of those healthy brands made my skin look aged and were just not compatible when applied under foundation makeup (powder or liquid). Many women tell me that they tend to over-apply makeup to cover the whiteness of sun screen. And loads more women tell me that they avoid applying sun screen altogether because of these issues.

The great new is, I’ve uncovered a NEW and Improved sunscreen that is healthy, hydrating, non-drying, non-greasy and non-whitening – unlike other sunscreens. It provides UVA/UVB protection, it’s affordable and looks amazing under all types of makeup. And best of all, it’s free of parabens, phthalates, fragrance, synthetic color, sulfates, mineral oil, petroletum, lanolin, gluten or GMOs. It’s 100% vegan, cruelty-free and ideal for all skin types (from dry to oily) and can also help fade spots because it contains natural skin-lightening properties such as vitamin C and Madonna Lily. Because it offers new CLEAR zinc oxide it can also help prevent breakouts.  Evenly Radiant Day Crème (with SPF 15) is now available at an introductory price on my website SHOP so be sure to order now to help defy aging and protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays.DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Apply Evenly Radiant Sunscreen over your usual moisturizer.
