Louisa Graves Blue DressMany women over the age of 45 begin to experience slack skin and/or turkey neck issues. It is one of the most common complaints of women going through menopausal changes, or after having lost weight. This frustrating sign of aging can be quite devastating to some women. A slack neck can add years to our appearance and many women feel perplexed about what they can do – without having to go under the knife. Face fillers are also not a safe option in the delicate neck area. The great news is, there are a few, cost-effective and non-invasive alternatives, including a new procedure I’ve revealed below.

Topical products such as Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) creams combined with peptides will help improve skin elasticity, smooth wrinkles and add volume to the neck skin (and the face). I highly recommend Ultimate Age-Proofing Complex. Also, Red Light Therapy is wonderful for stimulating collagen, resulting in more rejuvenated-looking skin. When combines, this is a very powerful regimen can help address the signs of slack-looking skin. You can find EGF creams combined with peptides, as well as red Light therapy at very affordable prices on the Newsletter Specials page as well as on my SHOP page.

But for those with more extreme sagging, slack skin or prominent vertical bands on the mid-neck area, a new and affordable in-office treatment is now available in the USA. It is called the PDO Neck Lift. Another name of this procedure is the One-Hour Beauty Lift. This effective neck-lifting technique can reduce the look of one’s age by 10 to 15 years — without altering the face or looking fake in any way. In fact, the procedure, which is known to cost around $500 -$750 (depending on where you have it done), will soon be making waves in the media. It is a 45 minute procedure performed in-office and no anesthesia is required – just numbing cream!

How does the PDO Beauty Lift Work?

The PDO Beauty Lift is a series of threads (sutures) that are inserted under the skin of the face, by the eyes, on the jowl or neck and hands. The threads tighten both muscles and skin – making this an ideal non-surgical neck-lifting solution.

The fibers of the PDO (polydioxanone) threads are ”dissolving” surgical sutures that have been used in medicine for over five years by myriad surgeons in several countries including USA, Japan, Brazil, Britain and Western Europe. Within two weeks after having had the procedure, the body naturally begins to synthesize collagen. During the months that follow (up to 240 days), fibrous connective tissue forms around the threads resulting in new collagen formation. Unlike previous thread-lifting procedures, it is the weave of the PDO thread that effectively stimulates collagen fiber production. Collagen is the protein that gives our skin its elasticity and firmness. And because the PDO threads dissolve over time, there is no risk of scar tissue, bumps or draping skin.

Women are already lining up to have the procedure done by a local practitioner in the Los Angeles area. He trained in Britain performing one dozen procedures and is now offering it in the USA. I have been invited to watch the procedure next month and will be following the candidates to get their feedback during and after the procedure as well as the months that follow. So hang tight ladies. I’ll be sure to report back to you with my comments and “Before” and “After” photos and keep you posted with more information soon. Just want to make sure it’s a great as it sounds before I can 100% recommend the practitioner.
