Take Time for You To Help Stress Relief

As busy career women, wives and/or mothers, we have so many responsibilities that we often don‟t take time for ourselves. Suddenly we feel overwhelmed, irritable and sometimes even “blue”. Stress and weight gain can play a “number” on how we feel too. So taking a “time out” for you is a must. When you take care of your needs first, you‟ll feel more content and confident, and this manifests as beauty on the outside.

It is never too late to make changes, especially if you‟re currently taking on too many responsibilities. Taking on life‟s day to day challenges can cause stress which can affect your mental and physical health, work environment, relationships with your family, spouse or partner, and friends. Stress can take its toll on your entire body, affecting your complexion, weight, mood, cause thinning or falling hair, adrenal exhaustion, the blues, and more.

If you have “brain fog” or memory issues, are out of energy, or if you‟re having panic attacks, you may be suffering from adrenal exhaustion. Taking a few supplements, which I will address within this series of articles can help support adrenal function and also help naturally uplift you and balance your hormones.

But first, be sure to try this waist slimming and stress relief tip:

When we become stressed, our shoulders raise which triggers our stress hormone, cortisol, causing sudden inches on the waist, hips and thighs. Did you know that by simply lowering your shoulders and taking deep breaths in and out, you can instantly ―shut off cortisol production and within seconds you’ll feel calm, stress free and reduce your waistline!

And best of all, this simple move takes just a few seconds.

Here’s what you do:

While sitting or standing, simply ―drop your shoulders and take a deep five second breath in and a five second breath out. Keep breathing and do this for one minute.

Don’t you feel better already?

You can do this while driving to or from work, sitting in front of your computer, on the subway, bus or while standing in line at the grocery store. Just drop your shoulders and B R E A T H E!

Also spending time with friends or sharing concerns with a trusted co-worker can help as stress relievers.

A scientific study at UCLA revealed that sharing stressful events with a trusted friend or co-worker can help lower blood pressure, reduces heart disease, prolongs life, uplifts mood, and helps you lose weight. Sharing your thoughts releases a hormone that creates a calming feeling and diminishes stress.
